About the founders
Philip Playfair, Co-founder
Philip spent 1997 to 2006 building, developing and selling Advanced Utility Systems, a utility billing software company. In the mid 90s he spent his time developing political and demographic multimillion-record databases on shoestring budgets. Immediately prior to Lowfoot, Philip was often found in France, libraries and archives tracking his grandfather’s participation in the First World War.
Steve Hammond, Co-founder
Steve has spent over 25 years working within the utility software and technology sector. In 1997 he co-founded Advanced Utility Systems and grew it to a thriving international business. In 2006, along with his partners, he sold Advanced to Harris Computer Systems, a Constellation Software company. Steve stayed on with Harris to successfully run the Advanced Division until his departure to found Lowfoot, Inc. Steve's leadership approach in combination with this experience, innate technical abilities and unaffected style inspire delivery of great products.
